Do you need some motivation to keep up with your winter training? Join us every Sunday (January 19th to April 27th, 2025) for some fun and supportive km's with our local running community!
This long-run series is perfect for anyone training for the Boston Marathon, or the Toronto Half or Full Marathon, though everybody is welcome to join. Consistency is key when it comes to achieving your goals, which is why we'll have plenty of exciting perks and activations along the way to help keep you motivated!

Welcome to our Winter Warriors Long Run Program 2025!
All you need to do is show up to this free community long run series and you'll enjoy up to 15 Sundays of running with a wonderful community - not to mention you’ll build fitness, confidence, and friendships along the way.
We want to help you get to the start line of your spring Half Marathon or Full Marathon in the best shape possible, and to look back on your long runs thinking, "That was awesome!"
From January 19th to April 27th, simply show up at either of our BlackToe Running store locations on Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. EST to join our free long run. Runs will be led by our community leaders, and you will quickly fall into a pace group that will make the kilometres fly by.
Everyone is welcome!This program is suitable for anyone who is training to run a half or full marathon in the spring. As this is a weekly long run, you should be able to cover 10 km during a single run as a starting point. Of course, you can always come for the accountability and turn back early or modify the route as needed! We will start with moderate distances and increase them as we get closer to race day.
We will have some excellent rewards this year that you get just for showing up each week. The more consistent you are, the more rewards you'll be eligible for! We will also have several activations and events over the course of the program that you won't want to miss!
You must be 18 or older, and we ask that you please leave your dogs at home for the safety of all of our runners.
No advance registration is required, and you do not need to attend every run; just scan the QR code at the store upon arrival whenever you make it out!

Routes for the Winter Warrior long run program will be posted in our open Strava group on the week of the run for you to access.
Common Questions
Each week we will have progressively longer routes suitable for people training for both the Marathon and Half Marathon. We will also include a 10km option for anyone who wants a shorter run!
We will have pace groups ranging from sub 5:00/km through to 6:30/km. Our pacers will help with following the route and finding places to stop for water or bathroom breaks. All paces are welcome, and we typically have a nice group that runs in the 6:30-6:45/km range as well, with plenty of veterans to help guide you through the city.
Yes! You can leave a bag at either location. Each store also has a bathroom you can use. If you need to buy gels before your run, we recommend arriving extra early. We will have a staff member opening the store at 8:00 a.m. EST to help with purchases and answer any of your questions.
No! Come as often or as little as you like. To qualify for the rewards, you need to check in every time you join us for a run, and your cumulative number of Sunday runs with the group before the end of the program will be counted. For the best benefits from the program, we recommend you come as often as possible and pair your long runs with other easy, tempo, and speed runs.
