NIGHT OF THE PB's

BlackToe hosted the Night of the PBs on August 8th 2024 at the UofT Varsity Track Center - An evening of fun, friendly competition, and a chance to set a new personal best.

This exciting track event brought together individuals and teams of all abilities and paces, and was generously powered by Maurten and New Balance, who supplied lots of cool freebies.

Certainly a night (at the track) to remember!

New Balance provided demo shoes, so participants could get the full track experience!

Maurten provided a free Elite Bottle for anyone who ran a PB. Maurten also sampled their newest performance nutrition product designed for track running, Maurten Bicarb.

The Canadian Professional Track League (CTFL) also brought their athletes to showcase some of the best talent that our country has to offer.

Schedule and FAQs

No way! A personal best (PB) looks different for everyone, so it's all about challenging yourself and having a good time.

We will have Maurten on deck providing nutrition (learn more about Maurten Bicarb here) and New Balance will have FuelCell performance demo shoes to make you feel unstoppable.

Maurten is handing out free elite water bottles (you can't even buy these!) to anyone who sets a PB. They'll be using an honour system, so no proof is required - just tell us about your PB so we can celebrate with you!

You will be placed into a heat based on your estimated finish time for the event(s) you sign up for. But remember: this is a night of PBs, so you are truly only racing yourself at the end of the day!

We thought you'd never ask. It's easy:

  • Find 4 pals (teams can be co-ed or not).
  • Everyone needs to sign up for either the 3000m or 1-mile event, but you can run just the relay (or the relay and an event).
  • Email the full list of names and your estimated finish time to grahambaird11@gmail.com.

Yes! We would love to add some volunteers to the team and the community will be thankful for the support. Follow this link to sign up as a volunteer! You can also come cheer on your fellow runners.

Definitely. Sawyer Nicholson, a local young phenom who is coached by elite runner Sasha Gollish, will be racing, and Canadian runner (and new author!) Micha Powell will also be attending the event. The energy will be electric!
